Local Partners
This is a list of a lot of the producers we bought from in 2007. A number of them are really quite small, do not have a website, and sell primarily at farmers' markets and farm stands. Central Indiana's local truck patches are making a come back and Hoosier Organic Connection is trying to incubate this growth with a "local fair trade" policy. We do this by providing another avenue for farmers to sell their high quality foods at a fair price.

- Victory Acres operates on a 114-acre family farm that has been in the Himelick family for over six generations. Victory Acres is run by Victory Inner-city Ministries, a 501c3, non-profit, for the purpose of providing healthy work and healthy food raised the way that God intended. Many who work on the farm come from inner-city Indianapolis and are from broken backgrounds.

- Salvo's - Greentown, IN
- Salvo Bruno of "Salvo's Ristorante Italiano" was born and raised in Vittoria, Sicily, emigrated to the United States five years ago and now resides in Greentown. Salvo uses traditional Sicilian family recipes handed down from generation to generation. Salvo's specialties include locally handmade ricotta cheese, lasagna, Gnocchi and ravioli. Salvo's product is not organic however all products are made fresh and local. If you wanted Italian food any more authentic you'd have to go to Italy yourself.
